| EMG ALX W ABQ Pickups

This is the new signature pickup that Alexi Laiho designed with EMG. It is basically a passive HZ-H2, but it has a ceramic and steel magnets. |
What I love most is the ABQ adjustments. You can really change the tone this PU produces just by changing the resonant freq switches. The PU itself is also very good for heavy stuff. I also play blues and it does that well too. This PU is very similar to a PAF style PU, so that tells you what kind of sound to expect. Almost vintage... until you turn up that gain, then this thing is ready to melt faces. Read More |

| Maxwatt B-20
Hiwatt ![]() ![]() ![]() 3 Stars Rating Read Comments(0) Submit A Review/Comment |
20 Watt 10" Hiwatt high performance speaker, high & low inputs, 3 band EQ & presence control, ext speaker jack, headphone jack, limiter. |
I play all kinds of music and this amp suits all of them. However, I have not played it with a pedal or with any super effect so be wary of this if you are thinking of buying. I think that Hiwatt could have put some lights and things on it to make it look even prettier and a channel switch, but apart from that I have no problems with this product at all. Please feel free to e-mail me for any information or questions as this amplifier is hard to find (even on Google) and will come in many different styles. Happy playing! Read More |

The EB-3 is a solidbody electric bass that features a full 34" scale length and adds a sidewinder humbucker and 1 mini humbucker. |
I love the bass and for my style of music is perfect. I have been playing bass 4 years, and in the current band for 18 months. It has seen a lot of life and is still carrying on, whilst the guitarist has been through countless guitars. If I lost it or completely broke it, I would be sure to buy another one, though I would probably check denmark street for an old 60s/70s P-Bass first, I find they also have a great sound. Though it could only be an old one, and even then I would most likely get another EB-3, especially if they hd a Vintage one!! I love it all over, but the sound is perfect in my ears. It sounds so low, and at gigs people have commented on it sounding below the kick drum! The weight is heavy which I like, as it makes me feel like I'm playing a big beast. The long neck is also very nice, and the fact that not many people play EB-3s (all have PBs/JBs/MM's/Ibanez's) makes it look quite exclusive, and gives the band a good image as an retro classic rock band. The only thing it could feature to improve it could be possibly a slightly beefier pickup at the bridge, as much as the mini HB is useful as a top end helper for the sidewinder, it can't hold out on it's own at all. Very Easy Pedal To Work With. Its easy to get a good sound if you know where the 'sweet spot' settings are. |
I Play mostly Nirvana. It is a great match. Kurt used this pedal on the recordings of Bleach And Nevermind. I've Been Playing For 7 Months. Even Though its my first pedal, I will always use this pedal. I will always cherish it. I don't wish I wouldve asked anything about the ds1 cause its perfect. If it were stolen/lost I would definantley buy another one. I love how it can match any artist from Kurt Cobain To Slash To Pearl Jam. don't Hate Anything! My Fav Feature Is The Distortion. No I haven't Compared to any other products. I Wish It Had less tone and more distortion. Overall: Great Pedal. If You Like Grunge, Buy It! Read More |
